Through her boundless creativity, Nora has opened a window into an enchanting, imaginary world where botanical, animal, and fungal forms merge into a unique visual language. As an "identity hopper" with both South African and European roots, she is passionately interested in the ways in which stories overlap and to give meaning to our lives.
Nora's works tell of an enchanted inner space where the boundaries between disciplines blur, and of an eternal, paradisiacal garden that unites both dark and light, melancholic and vibrant facets. Her works are characterized by bold colors, the three-dimensional use of space and fascinating detailss out of.
The Enameling technique Nora was particularly taken with it, as she appreciates its liveliness as well as the Coincidence and the uniqueness, that are associated with the combustion process.
Her path into the art world began with studies in contemporary jewelry design at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, followed by a successful Master's degree in Fine Arts. She then founded her own studio.
